CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to help their customers reach their goals and deliver value since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. Both these models are usually hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for tasks that need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These units come in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive, as well as gas, diesel or propane configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary before using boom lifts in order to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need a lot more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have really increased production and have revolutionized the material handling business.
