Man Lift Designs
On the market today, there is a wide variety of articulating lifts, with many types of lifts to fit every circumstance, application and work place. There are some manufacturers who specify in lifts for dangerous atmospheres including petro-chemical plants, underground tunnel situations, and other locations where there is a risk of explosive gases or dust, for instance in grain-processing plants.

Other lifts have been designed especially to mount onto big flatbed trucks or onto the back of pickup trucks or onto trailers. There are models which incorporate articulating booms that could be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whereas others can pivot 360 degrees.

There are lift models designed specifically for indoor and outdoor application, and come in 2-wheel and 4-wheel powered models. In several situations, the platforms are adjustable and several types of lifts feature baskets where the worker stands. These platforms or baskets are adjustable and allow the workers to swing into place or remain level, depending on what the operator must finish the task. There are different kinds of platforms and baskets which come wired in order to enable the operator to plug tools in as required.
