Narrow Aisle Forklifts
There are especially designed lift trucks that operate in narrow warehouse aisles. These machines are normally known as vary narrow aisle or narrow aisle lift trucks. They can negotiate smaller aisles easily and allow you to enjoy some advantages. Like for instance, the increased amount of space to keep stuff can really increase the overall available inventory of a company.

The narrow aisle forklift is made to maneuver quite easily, as they are engineered specifically to operate in confined spaces. Their different design has eliminated a lot of the items that are squished up into the design of the conventional forklift's main body.

These forklifts are very slow compared to regular lift trucks which is among their main drawbacks. If you need to move objects across huge areas, the narrow aisle lift truck is not the best. In terms of speed they will not be a reliable option. If you also have a standard forklift, this will not be an issue. You could just use the narrow aisle lift truck to transport the load to a central site and afterward hand it off to a regular forklift which can travel the bulk of the distance in a timely and efficient manner. Commonly, narrow aisle lift trucks cannot handle as much lifting weight; therefore, outside of smaller loads they will not be really helpful.

Electric Lift Trucks
For indoor use like stores or inside warehouses, conventional gas lift trucks are not a suitable alternative. They will not be as safe because of their fumes, or as useful or cost-efficient compared to an electric powered unit. Electric lift trucks are normally engineered to work and look a lot like gas ones, but they use electric batteries that must be recharged, instead of gasoline fuel.

Electric forklifts are popular for a range of reasons. For starters, they would save you lots of money on fuel expenses. Initially, electric units might cost more but eventually, they make up for this in the long run. Like for instance, when gas prices increase, you will not be affected and will save lots of cash. Electric models tend to last somewhat a bit longer than gas powered units as well. This is partially due to the fact they are mainly utilized indoors and thus don't get as dirty or work in as harsh environments as the gas powered ones. Electric units are healthier to use in areas that are poorly ventilated like indoor applications and warehouses since they don't emit noxious fumes. It can be really dangerous to utilize diesel or gas lift trucks inside.

The electric lift truck does have some disadvantages like the fact that they can really only work for about 8 hours. Afterward the machine will have to be charged for 8 hours and rested for another 8 hours. Many companies get around this condition by buying a spare battery so they could have less downtime and continually cycle them. There are fast charge batteries emerging on the market that are also minimizing the charging time.
