Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts provide height and versatility. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to lift the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks can not move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in cases needing high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specially to lift personnel. The basket attaches to the forks on the forklift, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
